DESIGN PORTFOLIO:

I was happy to be interviewed in this French edition of Computer Arts for an article about Romanian imagery landscape of 2004, like illustration, photography and design.

I was nicely surprised to be featured by Texas Tech University in a tutorial about Logo Design Process, with a link to one of my projects, where I described in detail my whole logo design process, focusing on the relationship between the client and me as a logo designer.

I was still a student when my hubcap design won a competition organised by the Romanian car producer Dacia. It has been manufactured since then at an industrial scale, along with two other models I designed for them. They are even depicted on the car in the Grand Theft Auto video game.

Being invited by the Croatian Design Society to represent Romania and participate in this poster competition, I thought of this poster idea, which message is to be united in design, Western and Eastern Europe, by 2020.

Had fun doing some works along the years for Intermedia magazine that is published by Kinema Ikon, a multimedia group from Arad Art Museum in Romania, functioning since 1970.

For many years I published my works and coauthored an article in this first design magazine of Romania. Credit for the picture goes to Design Buletin.

Sitecore International Best Healthcare Website Award (2012) was won as a team effort. My contribution to the website was creating collages (using stock images) and structuring in great detail the whole existing interface, choosing colors, fonts size, distances between elements, background colours, etc., to be further implemented by the developers of the website.

I almost made it to the Olympics when my shooting club UTA Arad proposed me to participate. I was too young though to leave school and parents behind, so I gently had to reject the offer that I almost couldn't refuse. The reason I was invited was because I became really good at shooting, even beating the World Record at one of the training sessions. I won a second place in one of the national competition. And the precision required for shooting helped me today to become the designer I am. Word!
Trivia: The gold that year was won by the one whose name was honorifically given to the club, since that is where he started his journey too: Sorin Babii. And the statue in front of UTA Arad represents my godfather's father, a legend footballer of Romania: József Pecsovszky.
